Ben Wigert, Ph.D., MBA, is the Director of Research and Strategy for Gallup’s workplace management practice. He assesses talent management needs and designs employee experience optimization strategies for organizations across the world. Dr. Wigert is an Industrial-Organizational Psychologist and specializes in helping organizations improve their talent acquisition, development, engagement, and performance management programs.
Dr. Wigert leads a cross-functional research and development team tasked with studying how to enhance the lives of employees and performance of organizations. He is the lead author of Re-Engineering Performance Management, Gallup's evidence-based perspective on how to evolve performance management practices and has published work in a variety of popular press and academic outlets.
Wigert received his bachelor’s degree in psychology and human resource management from Hastings College. He received master’s degrees in industrial-organizational psychology and business administration, and a doctorate in industrial-organizational psychology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
